The Chinese ordered more than 2 million iPhone 14s in 24 hours, causing the App Store to stop working
Many Chinese mocked the lack of innovation in Apple's new smartphones, but, as always, the market has put everything in its place.
Here's What We Know
More than 2 million pre-orders for the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max were placed by Chinese residents within a day. Due to the influx of customers the official Apple store on JD.com platform stopped working.
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max were the most popular with approximately 1.8 million pre-orders. Only these two models in the series offer the Apple A16 Bionic processor and a new 48MP main camera.
The iPhone 14 Pro cost $1155 - $1800 in China, depending on the amount of built-in memory. The cheapest modification of the Pro Max version costs $1300, and the most expensive - about $1950.
