The media found out that Apple has made an important change to its iPhone 14 smartphones that will make them much easier to repair.

Details

According to TechCrunch and CNET, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models feature a removable rear glass panel, something that hasn't happened in Apple gadgets since the iPhone 4S. This means that to replace a cracked back panel, it won't be necessary to disassemble the phone from the display side.

Previously, to replace the glass on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13, the repair service had to completely disassemble all the parts from the side of the screen and install a new body, only without the "stuffing", camera and display. And in the case of iPhone 11 and older models, specialists completely replaced the device. Thus, the old-new method used in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will be less expensive for Apple and more environmentally friendly.

However, the innovation does not seem to be applied to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
