On September 20, Arkane Studios' Deathloop game will reach Xbox consoles for the first time and at the same time replenish the collection of Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra games. In honor of this event, Goldenloop update was released for the game. The update will add new weapons, enemies, abilities, extended ending and crossplay to the game.

Here's What We Know

  • Cross-platform. Now players can play in PvP mode with other players on any platform. It doesn't matter if it's PlayStation, Xbox or PC.
  • Cross-Saving. If players buy the game on PC, they will automatically be able to play it on Xbox with all the transferred saves, or vice versa. You can transfer saves and access to the game from Xbox to PC.
  • New ability: Fugue. "Fugue is a projectile that slows down and confuses your target, briefly making them drunk.
  • New weapon: HALPS Prototype. The HALPS Prototype is a new energy-based rifle that fires a continuous laser beam, allowing you to pierce through enemies with precision.
  • New enemy: Paint-Bomber. These new NPCs take their creativity to the next level by strapping themselves with explosives filled with paint, which they enjoy setting on fire as they race towards players. You can not let them too close, otherwise they will take the main character with them in a blaze of glory and turn into another stain of paint on the colorful streets of Blackreef Island.

They also promise a new secret, which they do not want to spoil, but offer to find out personally by playing Deathloop.

Flashback

Deathloop is a new generation first-person shooter by Arkane, the studio that created Dishonored and Prey. In the game, Colt and Julianna, two rival assassins, find themselves trapped in a mysterious time loop on the island of Blackreef. Now they are doomed to repeat the same day forever. The only chance of escape for Colt, the character players play as, is to complete the loop by killing eight key targets before the day ends. If players are unable to cope with the task, they will have to live this day from the very beginning.

When We Can Expect It

Deathloop will be available in Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Extra&Deluxe libraries on September 20, 2022. And the full release took place on September 14, 2021 on PlayStation 5 and PC.
