The citizens of Latvia collected 900,000 euros for Ukraine. This money will be used to buy vehicles and drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by the local publication Delfi. Initially Lithuania wanted to collect 5,000,000 euros for the purchase of the Turkish strike UAV Bayraktar TB2, but according to the organizer of the collection and the country's defense minister, it was decided to spend the money on 15 vehicles and 15 sets of drones Atlas PRO. Each set contains three UAVs. That is a total 45 drones.

"The situation in the war is changing day by day. It will take a long time to raise the millions needed to buy Bayraktar, and the needs on the front lines are there now, so Atlas Aerospace drones are already prepared for shipment."

Flashback

Atlas PRO drones are manufactured by the Latvian company Atlas Aerospace. They boast a secure communication channel, as well as a high-quality thermal camera for night surveillance.
