A new look at the history of 2B and 9S: the first teasers of the animated series based on the hit game NieR: Automata were released

Square Enix has released three teasers of the animated series based on the popular Japanese action game NieR: Automata.

Here's What We Know

The animation series was named NieR: Automata Ver1.1a. It was announced in February 2022 and will be shown on January 1, 2023.

Two short teasers are dedicated to the main characters of the anime - androids 2B and 9S. They will be played by the same actors who voiced the characters in the 2017 game, Yui Ishikawa for 2B and Natsuki Hanae for 9S.

Fans of NieR: Automata will be happy to know that the game's creator Yoko Taro is also the writer of the series.
