Gigaset GX6 - German rugged smartphone with Dimensity 900, 120Hz display, 50MP camera, OIS and removable battery for €579

German manufacturer Gigaset has introduced a new rugged smartphone. Called the Gigaset GX6, it has a rugged case and will receive updates for five years.

Here's What We Know

The Gigaset GX6 has a 120Hz IPS Full HD+ display. It measures 6.6" and has a diagonal of 6.6". The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. In the front there is a front camera with 16 MP. The main camera has a resolution of 50 MP + 2 MP.

The novelty has a 6nm Dimensity 900 processor with 6GB of RAM. The storage capacity is 128 GB, and the battery capacity - 5000 mA*h. The battery is removable, which is rare these days. You can also charge the Gigaset GX6 cordless and wirelessly (Qi) with 30W and 15W.

The smartphone enclosure is IP68 and MIL-STD-810H protected. The model gets Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, a lateral fingerprint scanner and a headphone jack. The Gigaset GX6 is powered by Android 12. The phone will get Android 13 and Android 14, and security patches will be out for 5 years.

The smartphone is already available in black and gray colors. The Gigaset GX6 has an official price of €579 in Germany.
