DeltaQuad unveiled the Evo eVTOL flying wing in the style of the B-2 Spirit nuclear bomber
The Dutch company DeltaQuad has unveiled the Evo eVTOL drone with a "flying wing" aerodynamic scheme in the style of the American strategic bomber B-2 Spirit.
Here's What We Know
The Evo eVTOL has a flat, (almost) triangle-shaped body that allows the aircraft to glide through the air. But the company added two prop stands for vertical takeoff and landing. There is a large propeller at the rear that allows for horizontal flight.
The Evo eVTOL body is made of durable materials based on fiberglass, Kevlar and carbon. The drone can carry payloads weighing up to 3 kg - conventional and thermal cameras, LiDAR. It is also possible to use the drone to deliver small parcels under the control of an operator.
The Evo eVTOL can stay in the air for 3 hours when fully loaded and 4.5 hours when using one of the two cargo bays. DeltaQuad is testing the drone, so the company is keeping most of the specifications, including speed, under wraps. The price is also not specified.
