A breathtaking epic: HBO Max reveals full trailer for The Last of Us adaptation
On September 26, the gaming industry celebrates "Outbreak Day", the official day of The Last of Us, during which fans are immersed in the universe of the game. Today Naughty Dog, in addition to gifs, wallpapers and acknowledgements, presented the first official trailer of The Last of Us TV adaptation.
Here's What We Know
To the song Alone and Forskaen by Hank Williams, which could be heard in the game before, we are immediately shown the quarantine zone of Boston, which looks exactly like in the game. In the scene, under the supervision of the Fedra military, the inhabitants of the zone paint over the signs of the Fireflies organization, which Fedra has recognized as a terrorist organization. You can see that the series really tries to convey the plot of the game. Subsequently, we are shown Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel & Ellie, along with Tess, played by Anna Torv, escaping from the quarantine zone.
In addition, we were shown a bunch of moments that last a few seconds: Bill, Joel's brother Tommy, Marlene played by Merle Dandridge, who by the way played this character in The Last of Us Part I & II, an armored car from Pittsburgh, character monologues, an episode from the beginning of the game, a scene from the Left Behind add-on, chases, shots, explosions, tense moments, infected and all this is wrapped in an incredible visual that takes your breath away.

The Last of Us is a game from NaughtyDog, which was released in 2013. In 2020, MetaCritic users recognized Sony's exclusive as "the best of the decade". The TV adaptation of the game is being developed by Neil Druckmann, the creative director of The Last of Us series of games, as an executive producer and co-writer of the TV show, and Craig Mazin, who directed the Chernobyl series for HBO, is also a writer and executive producer. The plot of the first season will tell the events of the first part of the game with a diverse expansion of the universe.
When We Can Expect It
Release on HBO MAX is expected in 2023.
