Ukraine's Air Force destroyed 17 Iranian kamikaze drones in a week
On September 20, 2022, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the first time announced the destruction of an Iranian kamikaze drone Shahed-136. In one week they managed to eliminate almost a dozen and a half drones.
Here's What We Know
As we wrote, the first Shahed-136 was shot down on September 20. The next day the Air Force command did not report the destruction of the Iranian drones, but on September 22 four more kamikaze drones were eliminated in the skies over Ukraine.
On September 23, anti-aircraft missile units set a record by shooting down six Iranian-made drones at once. On September 25 and 26, two and four Shahed-136 were destroyed, respectively. The official Facebook page of the Air Force Command does not have a summary for September 24. Thus, within a week after the destruction of the first Shahid, Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners have already landed 17 suicide drones.
