Tesla CEO Elon Musk continues to entertain the public with statements about the Cybertruck, which will go into production in about a year.

Here's What We Know

Elon Musk revealed one of the features of the upcoming vehicle. According to the American billionaire, Tesla Cybertruck will be able to float on the seas, lakes and rivers for hundreds of meters. At the same time car floating will not affect either the power unit or the battery.

Musk stressed that with the help of the Cybertruck it will be possible to get from the Starbase spaceport to the South Padre Island. The route involves crossing a water channel for a distance of more than 300 meters. How exactly this will be implemented is not yet known. Perhaps without additional equipment, but simply by using the existing wheels.

Note that the head of Tesla has already hinted at the similar use of the Cybertruck. In 2020, Musk said that the car will be able to swim, after which third-party manufacturers have been engaged in the development of floatation chambers, which turn the car into something similar to a catamaran, but with a boat motor.
