According to MP1ST, PlayStation is planning to release a remaster or remake of Horizon: Zero Dawn for PS5. Recall that the game was released in 2017.

Here's What We Know

The news about The Last of Us remake caused misunderstandings and divided gamers into two camps, although the game is almost 10 years old, so what will happen here? If the rumors are true, then one simple question arises - why? Horizon: Zero Dawn looks good in 2022, is there really such a need to remake a 2017 game?

The source who provided the information to MP1ST did not specify whether it will be a remake from scratch, but reported that it has an improved lighting system, redesigned textures and improved animation with new character models that match those in the sequel, Horizon Forbidden West.

MP1ST also compared Horizon: Zero Dawn and Horizon: Forbidden West. Of course the second part is more detailed and has a better look. But this is not the difference that was in The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II.

In addition to graphical changes, the game should add full DualSense support, but this can be done with a regular update.

Flashback

Horizon franchise is going to be expanded. The developers of Horizon: Forbidden West Guerrilla Games are looking for a "lore expert" to help fans understand the universe and history of Horizon. The search for such a person is connected with the fact that Horizon plans to go beyond the games on PlayStation. This event may be the reason why an updated version of Zero Dawn is in development.

When We Can Expect It

There are no more details yet, so just wait for more information.
