Elon Musk first announced plans to buy Twitter in mid-Spring 2022 for $44 billion, or $54.2 per share. According to Sean Edgett, the company is now ready to close the deal at the same price.
Twitter's shares jumped 18% on the news of the purchase. After the resumption of trading, the securities continued to rise in price. The value reached $52. The daily growth was 22.24%.
