The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has reported on the success of the "Army of Drones" project, which was launched in mid-summer 2022.

Here's What We Know

"The Drone Army" was able to contract 986 drones in the three months of its existence. Their list includes Poland's Warmate 3.0 kamikaze drones, the Fly Eye 3.0 reconnaissance drones that are in service with NATO countries, the SKIF and Flirt Cetus mappers.

Naturally, the Drone Army buys consumer and industrial quadcopters. For example, the DJI Mavic 3, DJI Matrice 300 RTK and Autel EVO 2. The latter differ in that the enemy can not track the location of the operator. But Ukrainian specialists have learned to modify Matrice drones and hide them from DJI Aeroscope.

Part of the drones have already gone to the front. It spent ₴1.9 billion ($51.45 million) to order 986 drones. The project received funds from users in 76 countries. 115 people sent the "Army of Drones" their own UAVs.
