You can now buy the Steam Deck together with the docking station - they are on sale now
While those who want to buy PlayStation 5 are still looking for where to buy it, and at an adequate price, Steam Deck is already on free sale, and not alone, but with the original docking station. No lines, no waiting, no reservations for $5. Just order it - and get it.
Here's What We Know
Valve announced on its Twittter and Steam page that the queue to buy its Steam Deck handheld is finally over, and can now be purchased simply by ordering online. In addition, the console's operating system, SteamOS, will get a bunch of updates that will improve the console's performance on the dock, which is also on sale. Also improve the offline mode of the console, because not all games need the Internet connection.
The official docking station from Valve will cost $89. The version from Valve differs from more affordable console stations by having USB version 3.1, while analogs only have version 2.0. There will also be a gigabit Ethernet port, which will significantly increase the speed of loading games, Display Port 1.4 and HDMI 2.0, thanks to which you will be able to display images on multiple monitors at once with the ability to choose 4K 60Hz or 1440p and 120Hz with FreeSync support.
