The latest teaser for Star Trek: Picard features some unexpected comebacks.

At New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 8, a new trailer for the latest season of Star Trek: Picard was unveiled, showing some unexpected return of old characters: James Morairty, played by Daniel Devis, and the evil counterpart of Data Lore (Brent Spiner).

Events in the trailer begin when Captain Jean-Luc Picard receives a distress singal from Beverly Crusher, prompting him to team up with old friends, notably William Riker, Georgie La Forge, Diana Troy and Worf. At the center of the action is Vadic, the villain apparently played by Amanda Plummer.

The tension especially builds towards the end of the video, when we see the sinister scenes from Moriarty and Lore. This is the first time we've seen Brent Spiner reprise his role as Lore, and it's also the first time Moriarty has appeared in Picard.
The show will be released on the Paramaunt Plus service in the U.S. on February 16, 2023.
