Anduril announces kamikaze drones with artificial intelligence based on ALTIUS drones
U.S. startup Anduril Industries announced kamikaze drones with artificial intelligence support. The barraging munitions are based on the ALTIUS series of drones.
Here's What We Know
The kamikaze drones are based on the ALTIUMS 600 and ALTIUS 700, which are compact systems for reconnaissance, surveillance and reconnaissance. The barraging munitions are called ALITUS 600M and ALTIUS 700M, respectively.
Anduril Industries claims that the new drones can operate without operator input. At the same time, if necessary, the user can control several drones simultaneously. Artificial intelligence is used for accurate targeting.
Virtually all technical specifications of kamikaze drones are kept quiet by the company. The conventional ALTIUS 600 and ALTIUS 700 have a maximum launch range of 445 km and 500 km respectively, but as bomber ammunition they will not be able to fly that far. It is also known that the ALTIUS 700M was demonstrated with a 15 kg warhead.
