Japan became the first country in Asia to have Starlink satellite Internet
Elon Musk's satellite Internet has made its way to Asia. While China demands guarantees from the head of Tesla that Starlink will not work on the territory of the Middle Kingdom, Japan became the first Asian country where it appeared.
Here's What We Know
Coverage is not available throughout the Land of the Rising Sun. Residents of the northern part of Honshu Island can connect to Starlink. This region, in particular, is the city of Tokyo, the capital of Japan. It is expected that in other parts of the country the signal will appear by the end of 2022.
If you believe the coverage map available on the official website of the project, the next Asian country with access to Starlink will be the Philippines, followed by the Republic of Korea. There, satellite internet will appear in the fourth quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023, respectively.
