Poland will receive the first Bayraktar TB2 strike drones by the end of October
The Polish Armed Forces will soon be replenished with Bayraktar TB2 drones. This was announced by Wojciech Skurkiewicz, Polish Deputy Minister of Defense.
Here's What We Know
Against the background of the successful use of Bayraktar TB2 in Ukraine, many countries wanted to strengthen the armed forces with Turkish drones. Actually the drones gained popularity two years ago during the war in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Poland signed a contract to buy four unmanned aerial systems in late spring 2021. The first drones will be delivered to the Polish Armed Forces by the end of this month, and the delivery of the entire batch will last until 2024. By the way, Poland was the first NATO country to purchase the Bayraktar TB2. Naturally, we leave Turkey out of the equation.
