Yesterday it became known that Elon Musk's company SpaceX will no longer be able to fund Starlink in Ukraine and asked the U.S. Department of Defense for funds to ensure the operation of satellite Internet. According to the company, the funding for services is more than $120 million by the end of the year and about $400 million over the next 12 months.

The Office of the President of Ukraine responded to the statement - advisor to the head Mykhailo Podolyak wrote on Twitter:

"Let's be clear. Whether one likes it or not, @elonmusk helped us survive the most critical moments of the war. Business has a right to its own strategies. will find a solution, so that #Starlink continued its work. We expect that by the end of negotiations the company will provide a stable connection."

Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov was more brief: "Starlink terminals worked, work and will work. Do not worry".

This issue is also discussed in the Pentagon. Details have not been disclosed yet, but journalist Caitlin Doornbos said after the briefing that there are other possibilities for satellite communication - there are not only SpaceX, but other companies as well.
