Apple has officially announced the announcement date for the stable version of iOS 16.1.
When We Can Expect It
According to the company's press release, iOS 16.1 will be released to iPhone users on October 24. That is, along with the release of iPadOS 16.1 and macOS Ventura.
The new version of the system will get a lot of small, but useful changes. For example, iPhone owners will be able to use Fitness+ service even if they do not have Apple Watch. Moreover in the system will be added iCloud Shared Photo Library, with the help of which it will be easier to share photos with relatives and widgets Live Activities for the lock screen. They will display real-time information from third-party apps. For example, the score of a soccer game, food delivery time, etc.
In iOS 16.1 we should also expect support for unified Matter protocol for smart home devices and a slightly updated Wallet app.
