In a few days Poland will receive the first batch of Bayraktar TB2 strike drones under a $270 million contract

The Polish Defense Ministry has announced the imminent arrival of Bayraktar TB2 drones. The first batch of Turkish strike drones will soon arrive to the Polish Armed Forces.

Here's What We Know

Poland ordered four unmanned aerial systems. The contract value is $270 million. Each complex consists of six Bayraktar TB2 drones, mobile control stations, spare parts and simulators for operator training.

The first complexes will arrive to the Polish Armed Forces in a few days. Deliveries of the others will continue until the end of next year. The Bayraktar TB2 drone will be able to carry MAM-C and MAM-L bombs.

The drones will be stationed at the 12th Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Base in Miroslawiec near the German border. Poland will become the second NATO member state after Turkey to adopt the Bayraktar TB2.
