Iran may send its own analog of the Switchblade 300 kamikaze drone to Russia

A few days ago the Iranian army unveiled the Miraj-521 kamikaze drone. Already there is information that it can be transferred to Russia.

The Miraj-521 suicide drone is a counterpart to the U.S. Switchblade 300 bomber munition. The possible shipment of the drones to Russia was reported by Yuri Ignat, spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The barrage munitions were demonstrated at the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps exercises. They are aimed at hitting manpower and light armored vehicles. The first operator of the suicide drones will be the Iranian special forces Saberin.

There is almost no information about the technical parameters of the Miraj-521. It is known that the kamikaze drone can carry different types of warheads weighing from 500 g to 1 kg. The range of the drone is 5 km, half that of the Switchblade 300. But the Miraj-521 can stay in the air one and a half times longer than AeroVironment's bomber, 15 minutes versus 10 minutes.
