RTS on consoles? Why not? Ages of Empires IV and Definitive Edition II are coming to Xbox consoles

Microsoft has confirmed that Age of Empires II Definitive Edition and Age of Empires IV will be released on their console.

Previously, real-time strategy (RTS) AoEs were only available on the PC, where they seemed to belong. But Microsoft has decided to change the rules of the game.

World's Edge, the Xbox studio responsible for developing Age of Empires, celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary. There and they announced that Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will be available on Xbox consoles, as well as on the company's Cloud Gaming service on January 31, 2023. As for the older AoE IV, it will be released later that year. Both games will join the Xbox Game Pass catalog immediately at release.
