The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will move the Space Launch System lunar rocket later this week.

Here's What We Know

The federal agency will try again to launch a rocket into space in two weeks. NASA will send the lunar rocket to the launch pad on Nov. 4. It is now in a hangar where it had to be stowed along with the Orion spacecraft because of a storm in Florida.

The launch is scheduled for Nov. 14 at 7:07 p.m. (EET). It will have a 1 hour and 7 minute window. If all goes well, the Space Launch System rocket will send the Orion spacecraft to space as part of the Artemis 1 lunar mission. It will orbit the moon in about 25 days and return to Earth.

NASA has also set two backup dates for the launch -- Nov. 16 at 8:07 a.m. (EET) and Nov. 19 at 8:45 a.m. (EET). In both cases, the duration of the window will be two hours.
