Netlfix continues to develop its gaming direction so it buys studios one by one. One of these studios was Spry Fox.

Here's What We Know

Netflix announced the deal on its website. Spry Fox became the sixth game studio that came under the wing of the company.

"When David and I founded Spry Fox twelve years ago, our goal was to create a place where good, creative people could create beautiful, original games in a supportive environment that would bring happiness to the people who played them," said Daniel Cook, co-creator and founder of Spry Fox. "After many heartfelt conversations, we're all excited to join Netflix as an in-house game studio and create great games together."

On their website, the indie developers explained that the purchase will not affect the development of new games and distribution formats of those already released. The new owner will allow the team to stop worrying about how to make a profit from games and focus on production.
