Falcon Heavy is the world's most powerful active rocket. It has been resting since the summer of 2019 and will make its first flight today, November 1, after a major hiatus.

Here's What We Know

Falcon Heavy debuted in 2018 when SpaceX launched the Tesla Roadster into space as a test payload. The car is still plowing through the solar system.

SpaceX used the rocket two more times in 2019, to launch experimental satellites from the U.S. Department of Defense and to send an Arabsat satellite from Saudi Arabia. Falcon Heavy has been on vacation since the summer of 2019. This is because SpaceX does not require such a powerful rocket for its operations.

Nonetheless, Falcon Heavy will take off again on Nov. 1. SpaceX will broadcast the rocket launch on YouTube. The broadcast will begin at 3:30 p.m. (EET), 11 minutes before the rocket launch. This time, Falcon Heavy will deliver military satellites into space as part of the classified USSF-44 mission.
