Naughty Dog announced the board game The Last of Us: Escape the Dark. The plot will revolve around Joel and Ellie, the main characters of The Last of Us Part I.

The studio is developing the game together with Themeborne. The latter publish board games with simple rules. Themeborne is best known for its award-winning Escape the Dark series of atmospheric adventure games. Escape the Dark is known for its emphasis on simple cooperative play.

The Last of Us: Escape the Dark will offer players from 1 to 5 people a new way to immerse themselves in the world of The Last of Us. Taking on the roles of Ellie, Joel, Tess, Bill, Tommy, or Marlene, fans will have the opportunity to experience their own unique survival story as they explore the open world map, trying to find their way to safety while keeping everyone in the group alive.

When We Can Expect It

The Last of Us: Escape the Dark will begin its journey on Kickstarter on November 8 and will offer fans not only a deeper look into the game, but also an exclusive collector's edition of the game.
