The Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down a Russian drone Eleron-3SV worth 150,000 euros - the drone has a "flying wing" design and can reach speeds of up to 130 km/h
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have another downed Russian unmanned aerial vehicle, the Eleron, in their piggy bank.
Here's What We Know
The Ukrainian military was able to shoot down a €150,000 Eleron-3SV drone. The video shows that most of the hull of the drone survived, but the underside is burnt. That is where the electronics unit is located.
The fate of the drone is also already known. It was loaded on an ATV and sent to an unknown destination. Specialists plan to disassemble the UAV and study its interior.
"Eleron-3SV" is designed for reconnaissance, surveillance, aerial photography and correction of artillery fire. The drone has a "flying wing" aerodynamic scheme. The body length and wingspan are 63.5 cm and 147 cm, respectively, and the maximum takeoff weight - 3.5 kg.
The drone can fly for two hours at an altitude of up to 3 km. The maximum altitude is 5 km. Without recharging, the Eleron-3SV can fly 50 km. In flight, the drone can reach a speed of 130 km/h.
