The American defense company General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. is ready to send its reconnaissance strike drones to Ukraine.

Here's What We Know

We are talking about the family of drones MQ-9. It is represented by models MQ-9A Reaper and MQ-9B SkyGuardian. They can be used for surveillance, reconnaissance and reconnaissance. Combat versions of drones carry AGM-114 Hellfire air-to-air missiles or Mark 82 guided bombs.

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. is ready to transfer its drones to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the company's representative told a Janes journalist. The manufacturer hopes that the MQ-9s will be delivered to Ukraine in the near future. But the decision is up to the US government.

For the first time information about deliveries of shock drones appeared in the summer of this year. At that time it was reported that the USA would send to Ukraine MQ-1C Gray Eagle with AGM-114 Hellfire. But Washington blocked the deal because of fears that the U.S. technology would get to the Russian military.
