Google stopped releasing updates for Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL
The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones can now officially be called obsolete. They haven't gotten any worse than they did a month ago, and many people will be satisfied with their performance, but Google has stopped releasing updates.
Here's What We Know
Google has left both models without a November security patch. So the October update, which came out a few weeks ago, was the last monthly update for the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. Although it's possible that the company will release a minor fix to fix bugs in a few months.
The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL were announced in 2019 and were the first Pixel smartphones with 3D facial recognition technology, but without a fingerprint scanner. They went on sale with the Android 10 operating system, and now run on Android 13.
