Media: Disney plans to make a TV series based on the legendary "Indiana Jones" franchise

For more than forty years, the Indiana Jones media franchise has enjoyed steady popularity with audiences.

In the summer of 2023, the fifth film about the famous archaeologist will be released. Actor Harrison Ford has already announced that he will no longer star in films of this series.

Here's What We Know

However, fans, most likely, will not be without the adventures of Indiana Jones. According to Variety, Disney is in discussions about the possibility of launching a TV series about the beloved character.

The film company does not yet have a concrete plan, as there are no writers, directors and actors in the lead roles, but the idea is actively promoted by some Disney executives. Given the resources and capabilities of this media giant, the appearance of such a series seems more than possible.

A few years ago the game publisher Bethesda announced a project based on Indiana Jones, it is being developed by the studio MachineGames, known for the last parts of the shooter Wolfenstein. This project is in the early stages of production.
