Nintendo is looking to improve its Nintendo Switch Online service in the future. This was told by the president of the company Shuntaro Furukawa, answering the question.

Here's What We Know

Nintendo Switch Online (NSO) is the company's subscription service developed for its latest portable console Nintendo Switch. It replaced Nintendo Network, which was launched on Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo WiiU. With it, you can access online multiplayer, cloud storage, a smartphone app with voice chat and a digital store with the company's older games.

During a series of questions, Furukawa said that the company has initiatives only to increase the number of subscribers to the service by offering new functionality, which he did not specify. He also said that as of September 2022, the number of subscribers has exceeded 36 million users. Furukawa noted that some decide to terminate their membership, as happens with every subscription service, but overall the number is growing.
