Slovakia has handed over to the AFU the 7th Zuzana 2 SAU with a range of fire up to 41 km, one such unit costs €7,000,000

Slovak Defense Minister Jaro Nad said on Twitter that Slovakia has transferred another Zuzana 2 to Ukraine.

Here's What We Know

This is already the seventh self-propelled artillery unit for the AFU, and there will be a total of 8 units. The cost of one such unit is not specified, but it is known that in 2018 Slovakia paid 172,000,000 euros for 25 SAU, which is about 7,000,000 euros per unit.

Flashback

The Zuzana 2 is a Slovak self-propelled artillery unit that is a modification of the Dana SAU. It is built on a TATRA 8x8 wheeled chassis. The vehicle is equipped with a 155 mm howitzer with 52 caliber barrel and a maximum firing range of 41 km. Weight of the vehicle is 32 tons. The unit is equipped with automatic charging system, which allows to fire 6 rounds per minute. The Zuzana 2 is operated by a four-man crew.
