Does not meet the "minimum criteria": Jessica Mao, who edited and arranged music for God of War Ragnarok, says she was left out of the end credits
Despite the success of God of War Ragnarok at the start, the release cannot be called completely perfect. At first, some people who purchased the collector's edition wrote that the box did not contain the code to the game itself. And over time, gamers began to resent the fact that in God of War partners immediately describe the solution of puzzles when you do not even have time to think about their solution. Now the third unpleasant situation hangs over the game.
Here's What We Know
Developer Jessica Mao, who worked on editing and arranging the music in Freya's chase scene and in the battle with Thor in the game's prologue, wrote that she was not included in the final credits.
First, Jessica described the process of editing the music in the battle between Kratos and Thor. She had to work hard on the composition to complement the battle and make it better. However, her name is not in the credits and apparently it cannot be added in the update. The girl was told that in order to be credited, Jessica's contribution to the game must meet some "minimum criteria". It is not known what criteria they are talking about.
It was an incredibly disappointing and negative experience for her. The developer would not want anyone else to go through this. She urged game developers to include everyone involved in the development of the game in the credits.
Flashback
In 2020, after the release of The Last of Us Part II, game artist Anthony Vaccaro said that absolutely everyone who made even minimal efforts to create Part II was included in the credits. In total, there are 2300 names in the game's credits. From screenwriters to merchandisers. In general, this experience was practiced by the developers of Horizon: Zero Dawn and Marvel's Spider-Man.
It is still under question whether Santa Monica will comment on this incident.
