Ghost Recon Breakpoint receives update for next-gen consoles
Ghost Recon Breakpoint has received a next-generation update, which frankly was a bit unexpected. It improves visual effects and overall performance of the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. And unexpectedly it is because Ubisoft stopped supporting the game in April this year.
Now for PlayStation 5 there is an option to choose between 1080P/60PS or 4K/30FPS modes. The Xboxc Series X can do the same, although it will only increase the resolution to 4K from the lower base resolution. Meanwhile, only 1440P/30FPS will be available on the Xbox Series S.
What's worth noting is that Ghost Recon Breakpoint's performance on next-gen consoles has been the least of its problems. After Ubisoft released a series of comprehensive content updates focusing on Breakpoint's hardcore game modes and features, the company also decided to use it as an NFT platform, which may have had something to do with its later problems.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
