Not only Crotale: Ukraine received from France LRU, a modified version of M270

In addition to the Crotale surface-to-air missile systems, Ukraine received from France LRU multiple-launch rocket systems.

Here's What We Know

According to the French defense minister, the AFU was sent two LRU systems. In the near future, the French should transfer one more launcher. By the way, there are 12 such systems in service with France and 40 LRM (unmodified versions) are in storage.

Flashback

The M270 is the French modification of the American Multiple Rocket Launcher System. The MLRS is built on the tracked base of the Bradley BMP. It is designed to carry out combat missions of engaging and destroying from closed firing positions at a distance of 2 to 500 km (depending on the projectile). It can be used at any time of day and in any weather conditions. One such launcher can carry up to 12 missiles.
