Honor introduced MagicOS 7.0 firmware and published the official smartphone update schedule
Chinese manufacturer Honor quite unexpectedly introduced MagicOS 7.0 firmware. The presentation of the software was supposed to take place on November 23 along with the Honor 80 series smartphones.
Here's What We Know
The new firmware version improves MagicRing, Magic Live Smart Engine, Turbo X System Engine and MagicGuard Honor Security technologies. They provide usability, improve interface speed, and improve data security.
The company is expected to reveal more details about MagicOS 7.0 at a Nov. 23 presentation. By the way, the software is a regular Android-based firmware, despite having the letters OS in the name.
In December 2022, five smartphones will receive the update. They are Honor Magic V, Magic 3 with Pro and Premium versions, and Honor V40. Next January, the company will release an update for the Honor Magic 4 family of models.
The Honor 70 smartphones will receive MagicOS 7.0 in February, and the Honor 50 and Honor 60 in March next year. An update for the Honor X40 GT is scheduled for release in April, and MagicOS 7.0 for the Honor X30 / X40 and Honor V40 Light Luxury Edition will start rolling out in May.
