Media: Netflix is working on another series in the The Witcher franchise. It will tell about the criminal gang "Rats" from the fourth book of Sapkovsky

On December 25, the prequel series The Witcher: Blood Origin will premiere on the streaming channel Netflix.

But it looks like this won't be the only spin-off of the Polish fantasy universe.

Portal Redanian Intelligence reported that between the third and fourth seasons of The Witcher Netflix is planning to release a spin-off about the criminal gang "The Rats". This gang appeared in Andrzej Sapkowski's fourth Witcher book, Time of Contempt. Apparently, in the third season of the main series viewers will show the events described in the book, how Ciri, fleeing from numerous persecutors, joined the Rats. And already in a separate series there will be a separate story about these criminals.

However, all of the above information is very vague and requires official confirmation.

Flashback

The third season of The Witcher series will be released in the summer 2023, and from the fourth season the role of Heralt will be performed by Liam Hemsworth instead of Henry Cavill.
