Next week, on December 1, Pepsi will receive the first batch of Tesla Semi trucks, which consists of 100 vehicles. The American company has promised that the vehicle will be able to travel 800 km with a full load. Elon Musk wrote on Twitter that such a range was confirmed in real conditions.
According to the head of the company, Tesla Semi has overcome 500 miles (804 km) on a full charge. At the same time the weight of the car with cargo was 81 000 pounds (36 740 kg).
According to Tesla, the truck will be able to go from zero to 96 km/h in 20 seconds when fully loaded. Fast charging will allow charging the battery of the electric vehicle up to 70% in half an hour.
The 500-mile range configuration will cost $180,000. There will also be a $150,000 version of the Tesla Semi. It will be able to travel 300 miles (480 km) on a single charge.
