The Lithuanian Army received another 50 American JLTV armored vehicles

Lithuania has received the second batch of JLTV armored vehicles.

Here's What We Know

Information about this appeared on the website of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense. It is about 50 vehicles. That is now there are 100 such vehicles in service of the Lithuanian army. In the near future Lithuania will receive 400 more JLTV (100 under the contract of 2019, and 300 under the contract of this year). Deliveries of the vehicles will last until 2025.

The JLTV is a series of U.S. high-mobility armored vehicles. It was created to replace HMMWVs, which are in service with the U.S. Army since the 80s. The program of creating vehicles was launched in the early 2000s. JLTV are available in several modifications for different tasks. Production of the vehicle is engaged by Oshkosh Defense.
