Windows 11 will add built-in screen recording capability
Microsoft is finally adding screen recording to Windows 11 as a standard feature. The Snipping Tool in Windows 11, which is currently used to take screenshots, will soon receive an update that will include the screen recording feature. Windows users will no longer need to rely on third-party software or the Xbox game pad.
The feature will allow you to record the full screen, or part of it. Windows Insider program members will start getting access to it today. The screen recording feature comes four years after Microsoft added the ability to take screenshots to Windows.
"We know the Snipping Tool is a favorite among the Insider community, so we're very excited to introduce a built-in screen recorder with this update," said Dave Grochocki, general manager of Windows products, "The Snipping Tool has always made it quick and easy to capture and share content from your PC, and with built-in screen recording, we're extending that capability to even more types of content.
