Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones will support shooting 8K video at 30 FPS
Samsung, in its third year after first introducing 8K support in its flagship smartphones, will add the ability to shoot video at a frame rate of 30 FPS.
Here's What We Know
The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, released in 2020, was the company's first smartphone to get 8K support. But the frame rate was limited to 24 FPS. Yes, the difference from 30 FPS is small, but you can easily notice it when watching videos.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S22 Ultra also support 8K UHD exclusively at 24 FPS. That's going to change in the new generation. Moreover, according to insider Ice Universe, not only the Galaxy S23 Ultra, but also the standard edition Galaxy S23 with the Plus version will be able to shoot video in 8K UHD at 30 FPS. The Samsung Galaxy S20 / S21 / S22 and Plus variants are limited to 4K support.
