A resident of the Russian city of Chita was fined for dreaming about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Here's What We Know

Ivan Losev, a 26-year-old resident of Chita, discredited the Russian army with his dream. He dreamed that in one of the preparatory camps where he was stationed, the president of Ukraine arrived and gave the command to shoot everyone. However, Zelensky recognized Losev because he followed his Instagram page.

In the end, the Russian was kept alive and took selfies with the Ukrainian president and said "Glory to the Heroes" in response to Zelensky's phrase "Glory to Ukraine." The content of his dream Ivan Losev wrote on Instagram, after which he was summoned to the local police station.

At the police station, Losev learned that the Russian special services had been monitoring his Instagram page for a long time. Just like Zelensky in a dream. As a result, the Russian was fined ₽30,000 ($475 / €450)
