Tesla cut Model Y and Model 3 prices in the U.S. by $7500
Since January, the U.S. authorities will begin to provide a subsidy of $7500 per vehicle to buyers of electric cars. However, Tesla is already ready to sell cars with such a discount.
Here's What We Know
Tesla has allowed sales reps to sell electric cars for $7500 cheaper. But there are two nuances. First, the discount applies only to the Model 3 and Model Y made in the United States. Second, the buyer must pick up the car before the end of 2022.
In this way, the company of Elon Musk wants to avoid overloads in logistics and deterioration of the statistics of both December and the entire fourth quarter. Many American buyers began to refuse to buy cars in 2022, because by waiting for a month they can save $7500. That's why Tesla decided not to wait for subsidies, so customers wouldn't put off buying electric cars.
Note that this month motorists could buy Tesla cars at a $3750 discount. At that time, company management believed that their cars could not meet all the criteria, so the subsidy will be reduced by half. However, in the first quarter of 2023, the battery localization requirement will not be taken into account, so Tesla customers will be able to count on a $7500 discount for three months of 2023.
