Lithuania officially confirmed the purchase of Switchblade 300 and Switchblade 600 kamikaze drones for $48 million

The other day it was reported that Lithuania would purchase Switchblade 600 kamikaze drones along with HIMARS missile systems. Now this information has been confirmed.

The Lithuanian Defense Ministry signed a contract with the United States to purchase not only Switchblade 600, but also Switchblade 300. The amount of the deal is €45 million ($48 million). The quantity is not specified.

The Switchblade 300 is a small bomber ammunition aimed at destroying infantry and light equipment. The drone weighs 2.5 kg, can reach speeds of 101 km/h in flight and 160 km/h in attack, and its flight time is limited to 10 minutes.

The Switchblade 600 is a more powerful bomber ammunition. It weighs 24.7 kg and is capable of destroying armored vehicles. The maximum speed in flight is 113 km/h, and during the attack - 185 km/h. The drone can fly 40 km in 20 minutes and can hover in the air for another 20 minutes.
