Microsoft has revealed that Notepad receives tabs in Windows 11

One of Microsoft employees accidentally announced that the standard Windows program Notepad is getting a new version with tabs. He published a picture of the new tabbed Notepad version with the caption "Windows 11 Notepad is now tabbed!

After a few minutes the book was gone, but the thematic editions as well as ordinary users still had plenty of screenshots. Ironically, the version of Notepad, which was demonstrated by the message "Confidently. Do not talk about the functions and do not take screenshots.

It seems that this feature is currently under internal testing at the company and may become available to Windows Insider program participants around the beginning of 2023.

Adding tabs to Notepad may indicate a move to the tabs found in more Windows applications. Microsoft may have downloaded its Sets feature for Windows 10, but this has not stopped experienced Windows users from using third-party tools and programs to revive tabs in different parts of the operating system.
