30 Gepard anti-aircraft guns, 14 Panzerhaubitze 2000, 5 MARS II and Iris-T surface-to-air missiles: Germany in 2022 handed over to Ukraine military equipment for 2.24 billion euros

The publication Spiegel shared statistics on the export of German arms and military equipment in 2022.

From January 1 to December 22, Germany exported arms worth 8.35 billion euros. The report says that more than a quarter of all shipments came from Ukraine (2.24 billion euros). The Armed Forces received many German heavy weapons, including 30 anti-aircraft systems Gepard, 14 self-propelled howitzers Panzerhaubitze 2000, 5 rocket launchers MARS II and antiaircraft missile system Iris-T.

As for deliveries of German weapons to NATO allies, the Netherlands (1.83 billion euros), United States (864 million euros), Great Britain (453 million euros) and Hungary (249.2 million euros) received the most German weapons. In addition, Germany exported arms to Australia, Singapore and South Korea in 2022.
