Tesla delivered more than 1.3 million cars in 2022 and set a new record
Tesla reported on deliveries of electric cars in the fourth quarter of last year and for the whole of last year. The manufacturer was able to set new records, but analysts expected more.
Here's What We Know
Tesla delivered 405,278 vehicles to customers in the fourth quarter of 2022, including 17,147 Model S / X and 388,131 Model 3 / Y. In doing so, the company produced 20,613 and 419,088 vehicles, respectively.
Leasing accounted for 4%. Though it's a new record, Wall Street analysts expected Elon Musk's company to be able to deliver 25,000 more cars to customers.
The last quarter's share of deliveries was almost 31%. In total, Tesla customers received 1,313,851 electric cars last year, and 1,369,611 units were produced.
The U.S. company produced 1,298,434 Model 3 and Model Y units last year, selling 1,247,146 vehicles. Model S and Model X deliveries totaled 66,705 vehicles out of 71,177 vehicles produced.
