Not only ACMAT Bastion armored vehicles: AFU will receive French AMX-10 RC wheeled tanks with 105 mm cannon and 2 km target engagement range

In addition to the ACMAT Bastion armored vehicles, French President Emmanuel Macron promised to give Ukraine AMX-10 RC tanks.

Macron told this to Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a telephone conversation on January 4, writes the French edition of Le Figaro. France will be the first country to supply NATO standard tanks to the AFU. Unfortunately, it is not known yet when and how many AMX-10 RCs Ukraine will receive. By the way, there are 247 AMX-10 RC tanks in service of France.

AMX-10 RC is a French armored fighting vehicle, which is produced by the company GIAT. The AMX-10 RC is armed with a 105mm tank cannon that is capable of engaging targets up to 2 km away. The tank also has a 6×6 wheel configuration and boasts a hydro-pneumatic suspension system with variable ground clearance and tilt. Thanks to this the fighting vehicle is able to hide in difficult terrain. By the way, AMX-10 RC is in service in France since 1981. The tank took part in operations in the Persian Gulf, Afghanistan and the Sahel.
