Stellantis unveils Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept electric pickup
At CES 2023, we saw several new car concepts. For example, Sony with Honda, BWM and VW presented their solutions. Another novelty is the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept from Stellantis.
Here's What We Know
While Ford and GM are selling electric pickups, Stellantis is just getting ready to release its first such vehicle. But the company promises to catch up quickly. The production of Ram 1500 BEV is expected to be announced very soon and will hit the market in 2024.
In the meantime, the manufacturer offers to look at the conceptual model of the electric pickup truck. The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept features a lot of design solutions. We can only hope that as many of them as possible will jump into the production version of the vehicle.
The concept is based on the STLA Frame electric platform. The car is equipped with compact motors, at the expense of which it was possible to increase useful space inside the cabin and add a third row of seats. Although it is difficult to call it full-fledged. Instead of placing the passengers, it is better to use it for luggage.
In addition, the rear can be used if the cargo does not fit in the trunk. For this purpose, there is a folding wall of the cabin. In addition, the trunk is enlarged by the retractable floor panel, which makes the car longer.
The central multimedia display inside the cabin consists of two parts. Diagonal of each is 14.2". Moreover, the lower half of the screen is removable. The same applies to the armrests between the front seats. They transform into a table.
The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept has all-wheel drive, a third-level driver assistance system, an 800-volt battery pack and 350 kW of fast charging support. A 10-minute recharge converts to 100 miles (160 km) of range.
